Saturday me and a couple fellow travelers I have met had a fun outing in SF!! We met at the farmers market down at the Ferry Building on the Bay! It was amazing; so many booths with bountiful produce and plenty booths to comb through hand crafted treasures. Next a walk up Market street to Union Square for some outdoor ice skating!! We bought tickets and then went to find a local watering hole to pass some time before our session. A walk down Maiden Lane, the famous street for being in SFs historic red-light district before the big earthquake, we enjoyed unofficial opera from a local San Franciscan. Down a scary alley lined with dumpsters carrying the aroma of a pungent, well alley, we discovered The Irish Bank. This was the coolest pub with tables set up in an alleyway!! So cool! And for those of us needing repenting there was a confessional inside you could visit. After ice skating we walked back to the Ferry building and had a delicious seafood dinner! Gumbo and oysters!!! To top off the afternoon I split from the group and met up with a friend for a concert at the famous Fillmore! It was such an amazing music venue, you could feel the history all around. Jackie Greene was the headliner, but the kicker was guest appearances from Phil Lesh and Bob Weir from the Greatful Dead!!! It turned into a Greatful Dead reunion show!!!!!! A Dead show in San Francisco where the Greatful Dead made Haight and Ashbury and the hippie scene of SF famous! So cool!! It was an amazing day! Needless to say I was wiped out and went to bed with fresh produce, crafting, ice skating, and dancing dead bears in my head. What a day!!

Yosemite!
Made a short trip up to Yosemite before it gets to cold. It was so beautiful to see the changing of the seasons! Fall trees meets snow! We did a little "glamping"! Tent camping, but really more like a cabin. No bear sightings to report. Hiked up an icy trek to top of Vienna falls. And went up check out Mirror Lake that was more like "mirror meadow" with no water this time of year. Delicious coffee drinks by the fireplace and a "fall frolic" party at the visitors center were fun evening activities when it got dark at 5 o'clock.
Golden Gate Bridge
Rode bikes across the GGB to a cute town Saulsalito to have lunch! Window shopping and delicious ceviche! Took the ferry back to SF. What's wonderful day trip :)
Tid bit...on average one person a week plummets off the bridge per week! Crazy!!

Sonoma!
Went up to the wine country with some fellow travelers last week. Only about an hour across the bridge! Beautiful country and amazing wine!!!
